Hyderabad: BRS leader Manne Krishank has demanded that the Telangana government release a white paper on the investments claimed to have been secured during Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s Davos tour.

Addressing media persons at Telangana Bhavan here on Friday, Krishank accused the CM Revanth Reddy of turning the high-profile visit into a “bogus exercise” filled with false claims and empty promises. “Revanth Reddy must explain how many of the agreements signed at Davos last year turned into reality. The government announced investments worth Rs 40,000 crore last year, but none of them have materialized so far. Where is the accountability? Why are these deals not being translated into benefits for the State?” Krishank questioned.

Citing past statements, Krishank recalled how Revanth Reddy, during his time in the Opposition, had dismissed Davos investments, claiming they benefited companies, but not the people. “He used to say these investments were pointless. Even former PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy had criticized them. Now, the same Revanth is singing praises of Davos. Isn’t this hypocrisy?” he asked.

Krishank alleged that agreements with companies like Adani, JSW, and Godi India, announced during previous Davos tours, remain only on paper. “Even Bhatti Vikramarka said these are just ‘expressions of interest.’ What progress has been made on these deals?” he questioned.

Taking a dig at Revanth Reddy’s statements, Krishank compared the CM’s claims to fiction. “Revanth even compared Megha Krishna Reddy to the East India Company. He said East India Company came from Europe, and now he’s signing agreements in Europe. What is this absurdity?” he mocked.

Krishank further alleged that the CM’s office issued misleading statements about agreements signed in Davos. “The CMO claimed a deal was signed with Sun Petrochemicals MD Dilip Shanghvi, but the person in the photo was not even Shanghvi. Can a Chief Minister afford to mislead the people like this?” He showed photo of Shanghvi with KTR. “There is no details about Ursa Cluster online. How can such company with no name invest ₹5000cr in Telangana? Is this another Bogus investment like Swacch bio, Godi India and Walsh Karra?”

The BRS leader also criticised the CM for rebranding investments made during KCR’s regime as new ones. “Amazon’s investments were secured during KCR’s tenure, yet Revanth is taking credit for them now. This is nothing but a publicity stunt,” he said.

Highlighting another controversy, Krishank alleged that the government is trying to hand over the Musi development project to a Meinhardt. “Revanth met with the MD of Meinhardt in Davos on whom red warrant is issued” he said. Krishank accused the CM of reducing the Davos tour to a “comedy circus.” “Revanth is meeting local industrialists like Megha Krishna Reddy and Pitcha Reddy in Davos. Do we need to go all the way to Europe for this?” he mocked, adding that the CM’s claims of pumped storage investments are baseless without an energy policy in place. “Aaditya Thackeray for whom Revanth Reddy campaigned in Maharashtra elections called out their CM for doing local deals in Davos. Your own person is mocking this hypocrisy”, Krishank said adding that “it is like destination wedding, where the bride and groom are locals, but get married elsewhere. Same with Davos deals of Revanth where local guys went outside to make investment deals. This could be done here itself in his Jubilee Hills palace”.

The BRS leader credited KCR and KTR for the State’s improved power infrastructure, which attracted investments such as data centers. “The reason data centers are coming to Telangana is the strong power network developed under KCR’s leadership. Data centers are power guzzlers. Before 2014, industries staged protest demanding power supply. Telangana is able to attract data centers after KCR made Telangana power surplus State. Revanth doesn’t even have the courage to acknowledge this,” he remarked.

Krishank concluded by demanding an end to “bogus deals and publicity stunts” and urged the CM to release a white paper on the status of all agreements signed during the Davos visits. “People deserve to know the truth. Stop hiding behind numbers and come clean about what these investments have really achieved for Telangana,” he said.
